A Conservative student organization has issued an apology following the emergence of a video that purportedly captures its members performing a dance and singing along to a song associated with Nazi marches
The video, captured during a chairman's dinner hosted by the University of Warwick Conservatives Association a fortnight ago, features individuals singing "Erika," a track historically associated with Nazi Germany's military.

The Sunday Times, which accessed the video, reported that it depicts numerous members of the group dancing and chuckling while the music is heard playing in the background.
According to the report, the video concludes when one individual notices the camera and demands, "Stop recording!"
In a press release, the University of Warwick Conservatives Association expressed its complete disapproval of the actions shown in the video and offered an apology to those who were offended.
The statement noted that the majority of individuals featured in the video did not know the background or implications of the song. However, the person who requested the song be played has been banned from future events hosted by the organization.
The organization stated that an individual overheard "vocally performing lyrics" was not affiliated with them but "has been banned from attending any upcoming gatherings, along with several others".

The group stated that its members have "steadily advocated against antisemitism at the university, including efforts to sever ties with Warwick Student's Union from the National Union of Students due to its inadequacies in addressing antisemitism."

The Union of Jewish Students described the video as "completely detestable" and clear, unopposed endorsement of Nazism, urging the Conservative Party to respond.
A representative from the Conservative Party stated that the student organization is not connected to them.
"The Conservative Party has no tolerance for racism and will consistently take necessary actions against any members who behave in ways that contradict our principles of respect and tolerance," the spokesperson stated.

A representative from Warwick University stated, "We are aware of the video and the concerning allegations associated with it.
"Such conduct is deplorable and it's disheartening to witness our students participating in it.
The university is currently examining the information submitted through our reporting system and has informed the Student's Union.
"We have reached out to schedule a discussion with the Jewish Society to aid in our evaluation."
