Tech 3 KTM Sets Sights on Podium Glory in 2025 with Powerhouse Duo Bastianini and Vinales
Tech 3 KTM sets 2025 objectives: "Aiming for top-three finishes each weekend"
Tech 3 KTM has outlined their ambitions for the 2025 MotoGP campaign, having onboarded Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales.
The Tech 3 KTM squad, in partnership with the Red Bull-backed factory KTM team, is set to compete in the 2025 MotoGP season with the same equipment.
However, they will be entering the fray with a fresh roster, as Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales make the switch to the team from Ducati and Aprilia, respectively.
Addressing the objectives for what is arguably the strongest roster Tech 3 has ever assembled, team leader Nicolas Goyon expressed, "Our excitement has been through the roof. The period following the Mugello race weekend was a mix of stress and exhilaration."
We were aware of this chance, and upon receiving confirmation that they would sign with KTM and join our team, we were thrilled to share the news. It's official now.
Confirmed news: Enea and Maverick have each secured a race victory. This marks a significant milestone for Tech 3 as a whole.
They will be part of a large contingent of cyclists capable of claiming victory every week.
"This marks a fresh venture both for us and KTM alike. With no newcomers in the team, our aim is to secure a podium finish each weekend."
"KTM is making a significant push, which I think will propel them to the forefront, with their ultimate goal being to clinch a championship. In my view, adopting this approach is the correct strategy for securing a championship win."
Goyon explained that the motorcycles for Vinales and Bastianini will almost mirror the factory models used by Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta, signifying that they will effectively serve as an expansion of the factory team.
Goyon mentioned, "This year bore a striking resemblance. Essentially, it had the same framework as KTM. With the transition to GASGAS, there's been a significant push, and it's fair to say we're now operating with identical motorcycles."
"I'm convinced that while the shades may change, our connection to them will grow even deeper, despite already being closely tied to them."
"The change won't be significant. We'll continue in this manner, and the setup will mirror that of the main team."
KTM validated this by acquiring Vinales and Bastianini, indicating their MotoGP achievements could position Tech 3 as a contender against the official factory team in every race.
When questioned about the benefits of having experienced racers such as Vinales and Bastianini over developing a newcomer, Goyon responded by mentioning a past scenario, saying, "We've been in this position with premier athletes before, like the time we had Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow."
This season was truly exceptional with our riders showing great promise and potential. There was a relaxed atmosphere without any additional stress, making it an enjoyable year.
"I believe each member of our team will concentrate on their own performance, collaborate with their crew, and then, as a technical staff, collectively review everything."
"Each participant will be able to view the data of their fellow riders, which I believe is the most effective approach. I do not see this as an additional burden."
