Red Bull Racing Announces Major Management Overhaul: Gianpiero Lambiase Promoted Amid Team Reshuffle
Red Bull undergoes management shakeup, appointing Gianpiero Lambiase to a new role
F1 squad adjusts to several shifts to fill the gap left by Jonathan Wheatley's departure
Gianpiero Lambiase is on track for an advancement, poised to take on the role of Head of Racing at Red Bull.
He is set to transition into this freshly established position while continuing his duties as Max Verstappen's race engineer.
Lambiase will oversee all responsibilities at the racetrack and will answer to Pierre Wache, the technical director.
Fondly referred to as GP, he has served as Verstappen's guiding voice throughout Formula 1 races since 2016.
The pair is well-known for their disagreements during competitions, which are quickly settled once the race is over.
Red Bull is making changes to their Formula 1 team organization following the departure of Jonathan Wheatley.
Instead of appointing a single successor, Red Bull is distributing his responsibilities among multiple individuals.
Wheatley, renowned for his extensive understanding of F1 regulations as their sporting director, is set to take on the role of team principal for Audi in the upcoming season.
Steve Knowles is transitioning from a strategic position to take on the role of Head of Sporting Regulations at Red Bull.
Richard Wolverson is set to take on the role of Head of Race Team
Gerrard O’Reilly is set to take on the role of Head of Logistics, while Phil Turner has been appointed as the Manager of Race Team Factory Operations.
The modifications will be implemented in 2025.
Naturally, Red Bull will also be parting ways with Adrian Newey, as he is set to move to Aston Martin in March 2025.
