Trackhouse Racing secures Raul Fernandez for the 2025 MotoGP campaign
Trackhouse Racing announces their decision to retain Raul Fernandez for the 2025 season.
Raul Fernandez is set to continue competing in MotoGP for the upcoming season, having secured a new agreement with Trackhouse Racing.
Following significant progress with the Aprilia RS-GP23 equipment earlier in the year, Fernandez has secured a fresh two-year contract.
Fernandez has had an impressive sophomore year with Aprilia, with his standout moment coming during the Barcelona sprint, where he was leading with ease until he fell from the top spot due to a crash.
Last time at Sachsenring, Fernandez achieved his first-ever top-two start position in MotoGP.
On Monday, Trackhouse sparked excitement by hinting at revealing their 2025 rider roster, causing widespread speculation about the potential lineup.
Following a day filled with anticipation, they revealed a decision that was anticipated, enabling Aprilia to retain at least one rider familiar with the RS-GP motorcycle for the upcoming season. This comes after Aprilia's factory racing team chose to recruit Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi away from Ducati.

"Fernandez expressed his delight at continuing with Trackhouse Racing MotoGP, stating, "Staying on was our top priority; this fresh initiative led by Justin [Marks] and Davide [Brivio] is fantastic, and they've assembled an impressive team."
I'm thrilled to learn about their future ambitions because they have a definite vision for their goals. For me, since the start of the year, my main focus was to make every effort to remain part of the team.
Ultimately, I have the opportunity to stay here for another two years, which fills me with a great sense of satisfaction. However, it's clear that this also implies we have a significant amount of work ahead of us.
The complete factory resources will be available to us in 2025 and 2026, which is indeed excellent news. Currently, we are preparing to launch a new motorcycle model by the middle of this year, and it's crucial that we utilize this opportunity to also set the stage for the upcoming year.
It's essential that we maintain composure, fully grasp all aspects of the motorcycle, and determine our necessary actions for the 2025 racing season.
"Trackhouse Racing MotoGP stands out as a phenomenal team, and I'm genuinely impressed by the concepts put forward by this U.S.-based group. It's also refreshing to witness Justin's drive and aspirations."
He's a newcomer to MotoGP, yet he's eager to introduce a unique element to the American scene, and I'm optimistic about our potential to create an impact by expanding MotoGP's presence there. Additionally, I'm extremely pleased with Davide.
"He has secured five championships in MotoGP to date, and I'm convinced he's the ideal individual to assist me in achieving my aspirations. My faith in him and his capacity to build an outstanding team is unwavering; I'm absolutely ecstatic."
Coming up on the first weekend of August at Silverstone, Fernandez is set to be awarded this year's RS-GP model.
Fernandez stated, "At Silverstone, we'll be getting the 2024 model update for the Aprilia, which is really thrilling."
The initial segment of this year has been quite successful, particularly the most recent four races, where we've achieved significant progress and extracted the utmost performance from the motorcycle.
"Currently, it seems we're at our threshold, so it's exciting to make the switch to the new Aprilia."
"We'll be equipped with identical gear as the factory competitors and Miguel, which makes it exciting to discover our standing within the championship, particularly regarding Aprilia."
