MotoGP to Unveil Revamped Logo in 2024 Valencia Finale: A New Era in Brand Identity
MotoGP plans to introduce a fresh logo design in Valencia
The new emblem is scheduled for a public reveal.
MotoGP has announced that a fresh logo for the championship will be unveiled at the end of the 2024 season in Valencia.
In recent years, the world championship for motorcycle grand prix racing has been gradually refreshing its image, and for the 2023 season, a brand-new theme song composed by Marco Beltrami was unveiled.
Discussions about a new logo first came to light in April after a report by es.motorsport.com.
This follows Liberty Media's purchase of an 86% stake in MotoGP, which is expected to be finalized by the year's end.
The new logo had been planned before this event.
Dorna Sports has announced that it will unveil its new logo after the revamped awards ceremony at the end of the 2024 season in Valencia on November 17.
In collaboration with the independent design firm Pentagram, Dorna announced in a press release: "Having teamed up with the world's largest independent design studio, Pentagram, the most thrilling sport globally is set to unveil a fresh brand identity."
"Created to embody both our deep-rooted history and the future aspirations of the sport, the MotoGP of the future is the culmination of over a year of research involving fans, riders, and significant figures within the industry. This effort was focused on addressing the query: what defines MotoGP?"
The logo currently used by MotoGP was introduced in 2000, received a modification in 2007, but has maintained a consistent appearance throughout the modern era.
Since Dan Rossomondo assumed the role of chief commercial officer in 2023, enhancing the brand identity of MotoGP has been one of his primary responsibilities.
