McLaren Formula 1 staff member leaves hospital following fire incident
A member of the McLaren Formula 1 team has been discharged from the hospital after a fire broke out in their hospitality area on Saturday.
A member of the McLaren F1 crew was released from the hospital after a fire erupted in their hospitality facility on Saturday.
Crash.net's team was present in McLaren's mobile home when it had to be cleared out due to a fire breaking out in the cooking space. Plumes of smoke were observed emerging from the hospitality structure while emergency responders and firefighting teams rushed to handle the situation at the location of the Spanish Grand Prix.
McLaren has announced that they have accounted for all members of their team and guests.
Today, an alert was raised regarding a blaze at our trackside Team Hub, as mentioned in a team release. The area was promptly cleared of all personnel and visitors, with the track's emergency responders arriving on the scene shortly after. Following this, both the circuit's emergency teams and the nearby fire brigade successfully put out the fire.
"We extend our gratitude to the marshals and emergency personnel for their swift and expert reaction. Additionally, we are thankful to Formula 1, the FIA, and our competing teams for their willingness to assist our team and guests during this weekend."
A member of the team was transported to the hospital as a preventive measure but has now been discharged.
"The McLaren crew member who was sent to the hospital for examination has now been released. The team has expressed their gratitude towards the medical personnel at both the circuit and the hospital for their assistance and compassion," as per the team's latest statement.

Pirelli's leader, who also serves as a volunteer paramedic, Mario Isola, was one of the initial responders, assisting by providing fire extinguishers.
The blaze erupted just before the last practice session was set to begin at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri participated in the third free practice session.
This isn't the inaugural instance of a blaze breaking out in the F1 paddock during the Spanish Grand Prix.
Following Pastor Maldonado's first Formula 1 win in 2012, a fire erupted in the rear of the Williams team's garage.
