David Coulthard has compared Lando Norris' performance at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix to that of the most legendary drivers in history.

Last weekend, Coulthard was reminded of Aryton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and a peak Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren's Norris is currently the standout driver in Formula 1, having narrowed the gap to 52 points behind the leader, Max Verstappen, in the drivers' championship.

"It's a lesson in excellence," Coulthard remarked to Channel 4 regarding Norris' victory in Singapore.

He commented on Norris' thrilling moment by saying, "Perfectly executed, a kiss that didn't even touch a corner."

"The only thing that truly caught me off guard was when he locked up at the end of the lap and made contact with the barrier."

"Aside from that, it was impeccable. What an act! The synergy between human and machine was seamless."

Norris secured the top starting spot in qualifying and went on to achieve a dominant win at the Singapore Grand Prix.

He successfully broke a streak of losing his lead at the beginning of races, a problem that had affected him for five consecutive events, despite starting from pole position.

Norris secured his third Formula 1 grand prix victory of the year in Singapore. Earlier this season, he achieved his first career win in Miami.
