Second Free Practice Session

Lando Norris dominated the practice rounds at the 2024 Formula 1 British Grand Prix, leading the way in both sessions on Friday. He spearheaded a McLaren one-two finish at Silverstone, with the rain only starting to fall in the last five minutes.

Sergio Perez had a solid performance for Red Bull, despite missing the first practice session, finishing just 0.4 seconds behind Norris' leading pace. Nico Hulkenberg also stood out, claiming the fourth spot overall for Haas.

Charles Leclerc finished in fifth place, surpassing Lewis Hamilton, while Max Verstappen trailed behind in seventh position, in the Red Bull team's second entry.

First Free Practice Session

In the initial Formula 1 practice session for the British Grand Prix, Norris set the pace, leading the pack with the fastest time, surpassing Aston Martin's Lance Stroll.

Piastri secured a top three finish for McLaren in the initial practice session.

Verstappen secured the fourth position, trailing Norris' leading time by 0.2 seconds, as George Russell rounded out the top five.

During the first practice session, Alpine gave Jack Doohan a chance to drive, Red Bull had Isack Hadjar behind the wheel, and Williams let Franco Colapinto take the car out as a component of their respective young driver initiatives.

Each of them crossed the line before RB's Yuki Tsunoda.
