Jack Miller’s Battle with Vibrations: KTM’s Insight on Performance Woes and Determined Comeback
KTM highlights a key factor behind Jack Miller's decline in performance
"Jack Miller remains determined," affirms KTM
KTM attributes Jack Miller's less than stellar results to his ongoing issues with vibrations.
Miller's quest to find his groove has grown in significance as he is actively seeking a new squad for 2025.
KTM substituted him on their official team for Pedro Acosta and then completely disregarded him for their Tech3 roster.
Meanwhile, he has to keep striving to master control of his motorcycle.
"According to team manager Francesco Guidotti, as reported by Motorsport-Total, he is the individual who experiences greater discomfort from the new package's vibrations compared to the rest."
Guidotti commented on the motorcycle's tremors, stating, "It all comes together in the package."
"Since the start of the year, we've faced challenges with vibrations, which are caused by the new package.
"Currently, Jack, similar to Augusto Fernandez, is experiencing significant discomfort due to the ongoing tremors."
"He is unable to harness the motorcycle's capabilities to his full desire."
Guidotti emphasized regarding Miller: "He's not one to surrender."
"Our focus is now on the upcoming races for this season, and we'll continue to strive until the season's conclusion. Ultimately, our goal is to secure victories."
Last season, which was his first after transitioning from Ducati to KTM, Miller ended up ranking lower than his teammate Brad Binder.
The year kicked off on a sour note for him as he lost control of his bike's front end on the first turn during Qatar's opening grand prix, ultimately finishing in last place.
Securing a fifth-place finish in Portimao sparked optimism, yet it stands as his only achievement within the top 10 in a race held on a Sunday, after participating in nine events this season.
Miller currently holds the 16th position in the MotoGP rankings, just ahead of Tech3's Fernandez, who, like Miller, does not have a contract for the 2025 season as things currently stand.
However, Miller is highly regarded for his significant contribution to transforming the KTM into the highly sought-after motorcycle it has become.
While searching the market for a new home, Miller also needs to address the persistent vibrations in his machine to regain his previous level of performance.
