Huawei Cloud revamps its management team amidst rising rivalry in the AI surge

The cloud division, specializing in creating AI systems and infrastructure, has been a pivotal factor in Huawei's expansion.

Long-standing employee Zhao Minglu has assumed the roles of legal representative and chairman of the board at Huawei Cloud Computing Technologies. This comes after Zhang Pingan and Wang Tao stepped down from their positions, as per information from the business registration platform, Qichacha.

Zhang still holds the position of CEO at Huawei Cloud, as per the firm's online information, while Zhao maintains his role as the legal delegate for six other branches of Huawei. These include an investment division and the chip design department HiSilicon, as indicated by records.

Wang continues to hold the position of chairman on Huawei's ICT infrastructure management board.

Thursday's staff alterations involved Liu Kang, Bin Yunsong, and Wang Yifan stepping down from the board, while Tao Jingwen and Tang Jing were introduced as the new directors.
