President Joe Biden has joined other global leaders in responding to Sir Keir Starmer's electoral win. While numerous leaders have extended their congratulations to the new Prime Minister, one leader has declared indifferently, "I don't care."
The overwhelming victory for the Labour Party was evident by early Friday morning, and shortly after, both Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelenskyy extended their congratulations via social media.
Following the event, the White House announced that the US President also made a call to Sir Keir to extend his congratulations.

President Biden expressed enthusiasm about collaborating extensively with him on various vital matters. Meanwhile, Downing Street conveyed that their conversation touched on their steadfast dedication to Ukraine and the enduring "special relationship" between the UK and the US.
Mr. Starmer engaged in a conversation with Mr. Zelenskyy, during which the latter extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister on his recent electoral win, and expressed his hopes for the new government's success in meeting the anticipations of the British populace.
In Russia, however, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavolov had a subdued response to the change in government in the UK.
In response to a query about Moscow's view on the outcome, he informed Sky News, "Contrary to the British government, we do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries."
Mr. Lavrov expanded his discussion to encompass broader diplomatic issues and remarked, "Are you familiar with the expression about pudding? You realize it's pudding once you taste it, right?"
When asked about Rishi Sunak's assertion that a Labour-led UK would be "weaker," Mr. Lavrov responded, "I don't care. That's for the British people to decide."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau welcomed Starmer's appointment with enthusiasm, ending his tweet with the words, "let's get to it, my friend."
In a statement penned in French, President Macron declared: "We will persist with the initiatives started with the United Kingdom to enhance our bilateral cooperation, and to promote peace and security across Europe, as well as advancements in climate and artificial intelligence."
Several notable global leaders have commented on the outcome of the UK's general election, among them Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni divided her reactions into separate posts, dedicating one to congratulate Sir Keir on his victory and another to speak to Mr. Sunak.
"She extended her congratulations to @Keir_Starmer on his electoral victory," she noted, further stating: "The current state of affairs between Italy and the United Kingdom is outstanding, and I am confident that we will maintain a robust and dependable partnership between our esteemed countries.
"I express my gratitude to my colleague @RishiSunak for the profound cooperation and genuine friendship over these years, which have deepened the bond between our two countries."

In his inaugural address as Prime Minister, Sir Keir pledged that efforts to transform the UK would start "without delay." Shortly after, he commenced the formal process of naming his cabinet members.
The majority of cabinet members have retained their original assignments from before the polls, with Angela Rayner continuing as the Deputy Prime Minister and also taking on the role of Secretary for Levelling Up, and Rachel Reeves stepping into the position of the UK's inaugural female Chancellor.
