Williams' team member, Colapinto, delivered another standout performance, finishing in 10th place.

In the final stages of the race, Colapinto achieved the quickest lap time using medium tires.

Consequently, he was poised to earn an extra point for Williams.

Nevertheless, Alpine chose to bring Ocon into the pits towards the end of the race to change to soft tires in an effort to achieve the

Williams and Alpine are competing closely in the constructors' championship, with just a four-point difference separating them as they approach the last five races of the season.

On Monday morning, Ocon posted on X (which used to be known as Twitter) saying: “The start of our race was affected when I was struck from behind on the first lap. I managed to regain a few positions, but there wasn't much more I could do after that."

"Despite everything, we secured the team's quickest lap in the final moments – apologies to Franco, who truly earned it."

"We'll be back next week… See you soon, Mexico!"

In his interview with ESPN after the race, Colapinto mentioned it.

During a conversation in Spanish, Colapinto humorously remarked, "Why does Alpine switch out tires, man? We should be conserving resources. Hand it back to me."

The Argentine driver has been remarkable since taking over for Logan Sargeant during the Italian Grand Prix.

He has closely competed with Alex Albon and has earned points twice so far.

With only a single spot left on the F1 2025 lineup, he may have to sit out the next season.
