**”Ducati Confident in Marquez Gamble: Lessons Learned from Rossi and Lorenzo Eras”**
Ducati assures that the "significant error" made with Valentino Rossi will not be repeated with Marc Marquez. Following notable setbacks, Ducati emphasizes that this is an entirely different risk.
Ducati is confident that signing Marc Marquez for their factory team will not end up badly like Valentino Rossi's unsuccessful stint did.
By 2011, Rossi had secured all nine of his world championship titles and decided to switch from Yamaha to Ducati.
His two-year tenure was notoriously unfruitful, leading him to return to Yamaha, but he never managed to secure another MotoGP championship.
The producer asserts that bringing on board eight-time champion Marquez will lead to a different outcome.
"It's an entirely new risk due to the level of preparation we currently possess in terms of manufacturing, the bike itself, management, and technical oversight," said team manager Davide Tardozzi to GPOne.
The true error when we signed Valentino with Ducati was our lack of preparation.
"Ducati was not ready to handle Valentino."
"At present, we are exceptionally ready. I would like to remind everyone that we also have the two-time world champion with us."
"If you can handle Francesco Bagnaia, I believe there's no reason we can't handle Marc Marquez as well."
"Pecco is by no means inferior to Marc. He is a competitor who shows a strong desire to win and conducts himself with the utmost sportsmanship. This is particularly evident in his behavior outside of racing."
"The timing with Valentino was entirely off."
"From my perspective, Jorge Lorenzo erred by committing to Honda prematurely."
"Had he delayed by just a few days, the outcome might have changed."
In 2017, Jorge completed a lap at Misano in an astonishing 30.9 seconds. It's a shame.
In 2017, Lorenzo joined Ducati with a lucrative contract, coming off the back of three MotoGP championship wins.
The company was urgently striving to break a losing streak that had persisted since Casey Stoner's championship victory in 2007.
However, Lorenzo, similar to Rossi in earlier years, struggled significantly while riding a Ducati.
Marquez marks their third effort to secure the top rider in the sport. The distinction this time is that Pecco Bagnaia has already secured two championships for Ducati, and they currently possess the leading bike in the sport.
