Citroën Unveils Revamped C4 and C4 X at Paris Event

In addition, the French automaker has unveiled other intriguing new products

Citroën aims to redefine the compact car segment with the refreshed C4 and the new C4X, both of which were recently revealed at the Paris Motor Show. These models will hit the market at the beginning of 2025. The Citroën C4 boasts its most sophisticated and serene iteration to date, whereas the C4 X, with its fastback profile, is designed to provide ample interior space.

The latest models feature an evolution of the initial design concept. Both vehicles share an updated front end. The rear of the new C4 has also undergone a redesign. Inside, brand-specific comfort is delivered through the new Citroën Advanced Comfort seats and an updated 7-inch instrument display.

A standout feature of the latest models includes the introduction of 48-volt mild hybrid technology, available in both the C4 and C4 X. This system merges a PureTech petrol engine with an electrified dual-clutch transmission and an electric motor. The 48-volt battery recharges while driving and provides extra torque at low revolutions.

When conditions are right, vehicles navigating city traffic have the ability to complete up to half of their journeys using only electric power, which can result in a reduction of fuel consumption by nearly 20 percent.

The new models offer a smooth driving experience, thanks to their soft suspension system and well-insulated body. The suspension is designed to effectively smooth out road irregularities, ensuring a calm and comfortable journey. Additionally, noise insulation within the cabin has been enhanced to minimize the intrusion of engine and driving sounds.

When it comes to safety and support features, both the Citroën C4 and C4 X are well-equipped. These models come with a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that aid the driver and enhance safety. Included in these features are a lane-keeping assistant, emergency braking assistant, and an adaptive cruise control. These technologies help to reduce the likelihood of accidents and improve driving comfort.

In addition to a hybrid option, both the C4 and C4 X models come with a choice of efficient petrol, diesel, or electric engines. The electric model, known as the ë-C4, can travel up to 420 kilometers on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle, making it a viable choice for those concerned about the environment. Pricing for these new electrified versions starts at 25,645 euros for the C4 and 26,045 euros for the C4 X.
