Liam Lawson Shares His Perspective Following Tensions with Fernando Alonso

Over team radio, Alonso criticized Lawson, calling him "an idiot."
During the qualifying session, Alonso retaliated by impeding Lawson's advancement.
Lawson commented to ESPN, "He promised to mess with me, and it seems he stayed true to his word."
He seemed quite angry, although I'm unsure of the reason. We were competing for the 16th position, and I can't figure out why it bothered him so much.
"I'm not sure what to say. Things are just the way they are. I hope he can get past it so we can progress."
"I get why he's upset since he had a really bad race."
"If I had made a mistake, I would have received a penalty."
Lawson faces the challenge of demonstrating his capabilities to Red Bull in the last F1 races of the season, having taken over from Ricciardo, who was not meeting expectations.
By clashing with Alonso on Saturday in the United States, he has already stirred up some tensions.
However, due to RB's decision to replace his engine components, Lawson will be required to begin the race from the last position on the grid this Sunday.
In the meantime, Alonso secured the eighth position in the qualifying round for the United States Grand Prix.
