**Title:** Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Jack Miller’s Last-Lap Drama: A Recap of Aragon MotoGP Action
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I did another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller mentioned he was "overtaken by Rins." Binder also shared, "I devised a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend in terms of points since the season began in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon race.
This happened regardless of him veering off course in both competitions, even though his seventh-place finish occurred on the less messy side of a cluttered starting lineup.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle portion of the race. This contest turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia clashed with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained slightly beyond grasp.
“I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I executed another rolling burnout, just like I did the day before!” Binder said with a smile.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while trailing others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't take them too quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and ultimately the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind!"
"Aside from that, we made several encouraging advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a powerful start, advancing from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the conclusion of the first lap. However, it wasn't long before the Australian encountered difficulties with rear tire traction.
He was overtaken by Alex Rins for ninth place on the final lap. Subsequently, he and two other riders were penalized with a 16-second penalty for tyre pressure violations, which resulted in him finishing in 15th position.
"It was quite a lengthy race," remarked Miller. "The track conditions varied once more; it had been dirty for most of the weekend but felt more slippery today."
"I gave it my all. It was difficult to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final corner."
“I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire, but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it challenging to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to persist and push forward."
"Glad to finish in the top ten, although Rins overtook me on the last lap's back straight. I was trying my best to be accurate, but I didn't get a good acceleration and he managed to pass me."
“We will return to Misano in the future.”
This weekend, KTM will have five riders on the track as test rider Pol Espargaro joins as a wild-card entry.
“Now, let's head to Misano, keeping in mind both the upcoming test and Pol's wildcard entry that will provide us with valuable assistance for the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently occupies the fifth position in the world championship standings.
Miller, possibly to be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, currently sits in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
