**Title: Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Miller’s Near Miss: Thrilling Aragon MotoGP Highlights**
Brad Binder: “I ended up doing another rolling burnout!” Jack Miller: “Rins managed to overtake me”
Brad Binder: “I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…”
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season's first race in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
This occurred despite him losing control at the start in both races, although his seventh-place finish was on the more favorable part of the grid, which had cleaner conditions.
During the middle portion of the race, Binder trailed behind rookie Pedro Acosta. This pursuit turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
"I had a solid strategy to avoid spinning out at the start, and I ended up doing another rolling burnout just like the day before!" Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated through and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating while trailing others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since my front tire was overheating and I couldn't go in too quickly. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire was completely worn out by the end."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but my car had nothing more to give from behind!"
"Besides that, we made several positive advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to perform well throughout the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a strong start, moving from 15th position on the grid to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian rider soon faced difficulties with maintaining rear grip.
Following a last-lap defeat to Alex Rins for the ninth position, he and two other riders were penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure violations, resulting in his fall to 15th place.
“It was a long race,” Miller commented. “The track conditions were different again; it’s been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt even more slippery.”
"I gave it my all. It was really challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident coming out of the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the outer edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to work hard and make progress."
Pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the final lap's back straight. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but my drive faltered, and he managed to outpace me down the straight.
“We will return to Misano.”
KTM will have five riders participating this weekend, as test rider Pol Espargaro joins as a wild-card entry.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti stated, "Now head to Misano, also keeping in mind the subsequent test and Pol’s wildcard, which will assist us in the future."
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently occupies the fifth position in the world championship standings.
Miller, who may be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
