**Title: “Binder Battles Burnouts and Miller Grapples with Grip: Aragon MotoGP Drama Unfolds”**
Brad Binder: “Once again, I ended up doing a rolling burnout!” Jack Miller: “Rins managed to sneak past me”
Brad Binder: “I had come up with a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning my tires at the start…”
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season started in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
Despite veering off course in both events, he managed to secure seventh place, benefiting from a cleaner starting position on a typically messy grid.
Throughout the middle portion of the race, Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta. This chase turned into a contest for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with five laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
"I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and just like yesterday, I did a rolling burnout again!" Binder said with a smile.
"I maneuvered through and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating from following others until the final part of the race.
"I attempted to gain time while exiting the corners since I couldn't enter them too quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely by the end."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but my rear tires were completely worn out!"
"Aside from that, we took some very promising strides this weekend. We experimented with adjusting the bike's balance, and it appeared effective throughout the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller made an impressive start, moving up from 15th position on the grid to 8th place by the end of the first lap. However, it wasn't long before the Australian encountered difficulties with rear tire traction.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins on the final lap and losing his ninth-place position, he was one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure, which caused him to fall to 15th place.
"That was quite a lengthy race," remarked Miller. "The track conditions have varied once more; it has been rather dirty throughout most of the weekend, but today it felt particularly slippery."
"I gave it my all. It was quite challenging managing the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident while accelerating out of the last turn."
"I found my groove and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the outer to the central part of the tire, but I managed to finish the race."
"There were no errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to persevere."
Content with a top ten finish, but Rins managed to overtake me on the back straight during the final lap. I tried my best to maintain precision, but I couldn't accelerate well enough, allowing him to surpass me.
“We will return to Misano.”
Test rider Pol Espargaro will be added as a wild-card entry, bringing the total number of KTM riders to five for this weekend.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti mentioned that they are heading to Misano, not only for the upcoming event but also for the subsequent testing and Pol’s wildcard entry, which will be beneficial for future preparations.
The opening race of the Misano MotoGP series will see Binder trailing Acosta by three points, with Acosta currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who is expected to be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home event in Italy, currently holds the 15th spot and trails Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
