Thrills and Spills: Bagnaia Sets Record Pace, Martin Crashes in Tense Emilia Romagna MotoGP Friday Practice
Emilia Romagna MotoGP: Recap of Friday's Practice Sessions
Stay tuned for real-time coverage of the practice sessions on Friday at the 2024 MotoGP Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The 2024 MotoGP series moves ahead with its 14th race, marking the season's second trip to the Misano circuit.
Following the scrapping of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix, MotoGP will be back at Misano just a fortnight following the San Marino GP, marking the first Emilia Romagna Grand Prix event since 2021.
Jorge Martin narrowly leads the championship by seven points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia, following a strategy to pit stop due to a short period of rainfall in the San Marino GP that did not work out well for the Pramac competitor.
Heading into the second round at Misano, Marc Marquez is aiming for his third consecutive grand prix win in an effort to close the 53-point gap he currently has to Martin in the championship standings.
Marquez clinched his most recent victory at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in 2021, a win that represented his latest triumph with Honda and initiated a winless streak lasting 1043 days.
Following a testing session on the Monday subsequent to the San Marino Grand Prix, it is expected that the competition will be much closer at the start of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, in contrast to the situation two weeks prior.
The first practice session kicks off at 9:45 am British Summer Time, followed by another practice session at 2 pm
