**”Thrills and Spills at Aragon: Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Jack Miller’s Last-Lap Heartbreak”**
Brad Binder: “I ended up doing a rolling burnout again!” Jack Miller: “Rins got me at the finish”
Brad Binder: “I thought of a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…”
Brad Binder achieved his best MotoGP results since the season began in Qatar, securing fourth and sixth places at the Aragon race.
Despite veering off course in both races, he still managed to secure seventh place, which was on the better side of a messy starting lineup.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle part of the race, which turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained slightly beyond grasp.
"I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I managed to do another rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated through and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating from following others until the final quarter of the race."
"I attempted to recover lost time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tires overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and I ultimately wore out the left side of the tire."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but my car had no power left at the back!"
"Aside from that, we took several encouraging steps this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Jack Miller, a member of the team, had a strong start by moving from 15th place on the grid to eighth by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly encountered issues with maintaining rear grip.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins on the final lap, he was one of three racers penalized with a 16-second time addition for tire pressure violations after the race, resulting in his fall to 15th place.
“That was a long race,” commented Miller. “The track conditions varied once more. It has been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt even more slippery.”
"I gave it my all. It was really tough to manage the rear tire in the medium compound, and I had a major highside incident coming out of the final corner."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the tyre's edge to its center… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to push forward."
"Thrilled to finish in the top ten, but Rins managed to overtake me on the final lap's back straight. I was trying my best to be meticulous, but I got a poor acceleration, and he outpaced me down the stretch."
"We'll return to Misano."
A fifth KTM rider will join the race this weekend as test rider Pol Espargaro takes part as a wild-card entry.
“Next, we head to Misano with an eye on the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which should provide us with some valuable insights for the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, who currently ranks fifth in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
