**”Thrills and Spills at Aragon: Binder’s Burnout Brilliance and Miller’s Last-Lap Heartbreak”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "Once again, I found myself doing a rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller commented, "Rins managed to slip by me." Binder also noted, "I had devised a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best performance in a MotoGP weekend since the season began in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
This occurred even though he veered off the track in both races, and despite that, his seventh position was on the less cluttered side of a messy starting lineup.
Binder followed closely behind newcomer Pedro Acosta during the middle portion of the race. Their competition turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia got into an incident ahead with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta stayed slightly beyond grasp.
"I made a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning at the start, and just like yesterday, I did another rolling burnout!" Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated my way through and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors, as the front tire overheated while trailing behind others for most of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't enter them quickly with the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and in the end, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I made every effort to overtake Pedro, but my rear had no strength left."
"Aside from that, we took several positive steps this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective for the duration of the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a powerful start, moving up from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly faced challenges with maintaining rear grip.
Following a last-lap overtake by Alex Rins that cost him ninth place, he was subsequently one of three riders handed a 16-second penalty for tyre pressure violations after the race, which resulted in him falling to 15th position.
"That was a lengthy race," Miller remarked. "The track conditions varied once more; it has been quite dirty throughout the weekend, but today it appeared even more slippery."
“I gave it my all. It was tough managing the [medium] rear tire, and I nearly lost control with a major highside incident while exiting the final corner.
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the outer part to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish the race."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had a hard time keeping up with the guys ahead. We'll continue to push forward."
"Thrilled to finish in the top ten, although Rins overtook me on the final lap's back straight. I was trying my hardest to be accurate, but I didn't get a good drive, which allowed him to outpace me."
“We’ll return to Misano.”
Test rider Pol Espargaro will join the KTM team this weekend, increasing their total number of participants to five.
“Head to Misano now, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which will provide us with valuable support moving forward,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP event will kick off with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently ranks fifth in the world championship standings.
Miller, potentially set to be announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, currently ranks 15th, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
