### Thrilling Weekend Recap: Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnout Drama and Jack Miller’s Close Call with Rins at Aragon MotoGP Stay tuned as we dive into the exhilarating highs and lows of the Aragon MotoGP weekend, featuring standout performances, strategic battles, and unexpected twists from Brad
Brad Binder: "I ended up doing another rolling burnout!", Jack Miller: "Rins got past me"
Brad Binder: "I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his most successful MotoGP weekend since the season began in Qatar, finishing in 4th and 6th place at Aragon.
This occurred even though he veered off course in both competitions, and his seventh-place finish came from the cleaner area of a messy starting lineup.
During the middle part of the race, Binder rode behind newcomer Pedro Acosta. This competition turned into a fight for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta stayed just beyond their grasp.
"I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I executed another rolling burnout just like I did the day before!" Binder said with a smile.
"I navigated through the crowd and overtook several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while following others, especially towards the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time when exiting corners because I couldn't enter them too quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely by the end."
"I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind him!"
"Besides that, we made several positive advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Jack Miller, a team-mate, had a powerful start, moving from 15th place on the grid to 8th position by the end of the first lap. However, it wasn't long before the Australian rider faced difficulties with rear tire grip.
Following a last-lap overtake by Alex Rins that pushed him down to tenth, he, along with two other competitors, was hit with a 16-second penalty for tyre pressure violations, ultimately relegating him to 15th place.
"That was quite a lengthy race," remarked Miller. "The track conditions varied once more; it was dirty for most of the weekend but felt slipperier today."
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside while exiting the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when moving from the edge to the center of the tire, but I managed to finish successfully."
"There were no errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We will continue to push forward."
"I’m pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins passed me on the back straight during the final lap. I tried my best to be accurate, but I didn’t get a good drive, and he managed to overtake me."
“We will return to Misano.”
This weekend, KTM's lineup will increase to five riders thanks to the addition of test rider Pol Espargaro as a wild-card entry.
"Head to Misano now, keeping in mind the subsequent test and Pol’s wildcard, which will assist us moving forward," stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, who currently ranks fifth in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might receive official confirmation as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, currently ranks 15th and is three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
