Rising Star Down Under: Jacob Roulstone Eyes Rookie of the Year in Moto3 Debut Season
Could this be the next MotoGP sensation from Australia?
The Australian newcomer in Moto3 is widely regarded as a promising talent.
Jacob Roulstone might emerge as a promising MotoGP prospect for Australia.
He aims to emulate the paths of Mick Doohan, Casey Stoner, Jack Miller, and others in their group.
In his debut season in Moto3, he's setting his sights on securing the Rookie of the Year award.
"Going into the initial race, my aim was to secure a spot in the top 20 and perhaps score a couple of points," he shared with Fox Sports.
"Now, as we enter the latter part of the season, the anticipations have shifted slightly."
"The primary objective is to secure the title of Rookie of the Year and clinch the championship."
"Angel Piqueras stands right ahead of me; he has been my competitor since my inaugural race in Spain, marking us as fierce rivals – yet, he remains my primary target.
"Being named the newcomer of the year, and ideally ensuring a spot for the upcoming season would be another significant achievement."

The 19-year-old hailing from Wollongong is competing under Herve Poncharal’s Red Bull GasGas Tech3 team in the Moto3 category.
His top performance this season has been finishing in 8th place in both Catalunya and Texas.
Roulstone has completed his training with the Red Bull Rookies Cup, the very program that propelled Pedro Acosta into the ranks of MotoGP, riding for KTM.
"He mentioned that his initial season in Moto3 exceeded his expectations."
"Experiencing a setback during a significant moment in Germany was quite disappointing, especially since I believe that was my finest performance thus far."
Aside from that, the performance has been quite impressive in every competition up to the last one.
"I still have much to learn. Being the newcomer means I have significant progress to make, yet I believe I'm moving forward with the team in the right way."
"Being part of an elite group comes with its own set of expectations to excel, thus creating a significant amount of pressure."
"Up to this point, I've played the newcomer role, allowing me to progressively acquire knowledge."
"Entering the latter part of the season, there's a bit more weight on my shoulders and the bar is set slightly higher, though it's nothing excessive – I'm not anticipated to sweep every race."
The Phillip Island Australian Grand Prix takes place in October, marking an important event for Roulstone.
He currently holds the 12th position in the overall Moto3 championship standings. His compatriot, Joel Kelso, is ranked 10th.
