**”Pecco Bagnaia’s Suzuka 8 Hours Ambitions in Doubt Amidst Ducati’s MotoGP Priorities”**
Uncertainty surrounds Pecco Bagnaia’s aspiration to compete in the Suzuka 8 Hours.
“What more can Ducati accomplish? What victories elude them?”
Pecco Bagnaia has been advised to focus on the MotoGP championship battle instead of participating in the Suzuka 8 Hours race.
Honda clinched victory in this year's renowned Japanese endurance race, with MotoGP competitor Johann Zarco as part of their team.
However, Ducati stood out by backing a team led by Kagayama, who raced on Panigale V4 motorcycles, with Paolo Ciabatti supervising the effort.
"Get everything ready, I'll be there soon," Bagnaia hinted in response to speculation that Ducati might field a factory team for the Suzuka 8 Hours next year.
Valentino Rossi, one of the legends in MotoGP, has both participated in and won the Suzuka 8 Hours, which makes it tempting for Bagnaia to follow in his footsteps.
However, Neil Hodgson mentioned to TNT Sports, “I would be quite shocked if he did.”
"The main goal for any MotoGP racer is to clinch the MotoGP championship title."
"Pecco is set to compete with Marc in the upcoming season, which consists of a demanding schedule of 22 races."
"I would find it extremely shocking."
Sylvain Guintoli responded by saying, “I believe he will attend as long as there are no scheduling conflicts.”
Hodgson mentioned that Mick Doohan participated in the 8 Hours race when he was at the height of his career.
Guintoli, a seasoned participant in the Suzuka 8 Hours, commented on Ducati's involvement this year, stating: "They demonstrated that the team had significant strength."
“The motorcycle had great speed on straight paths. However, this might have been excessive as it led to high fuel usage. Additionally, their strategy for pit stops was somewhat flawed.”
"They possessed the speed, had quick riders, and managed to achieve impressive lap times. Their overall performance was competitive."
"If the team at the Ducati factory witnessed this, they would likely want to incorporate them into the Suzuka project."
"If any team can assist with fuel efficiency and managing pit stops, it would be Ducati."
A significant portion of the tasks performed by engineers involves conserving fuel, which is particularly crucial at Suzuka.
Finishing the race in Japan would add to the accolades of the Italian company that is excelling in both MotoGP and World Superbikes.
Hodgson inquired, "What more is there for Ducati to accomplish? What titles are they yet to secure?"
"Motocross was a new venture for them this year, and their performance has been outstanding. Next year, they plan to compete in the world championship with a complete factory team."
"The Suzuka 8 Hours race is quite puzzling. Remember, Honda is the proprietor of the Suzuka circuit, and they consistently excel in performances there."
"Do you believe Ducati would want to take it away from them? Absolutely!"
"If anyone were to find the drive, it would be Pecco. However, I just can't envision it happening…"
