Pecco Bagnaia’s Heartwarming Wedding Gift: A Journey Back to His Racing Roots
Pecco Bagnaia receives classic motorcycle as a wedding present
"Achieve your dreams while always remembering your roots"
Francesco Bagnaia received two of his former motorcycles as a sentimental present for his wedding.
Last weekend in Italy, Bagnaia married his longtime girlfriend, Domizia Castagnini, who frequently accompanies him in the MotoGP paddock.
Among the attendees were Valentino Rossi, other VR46 team members, and notable individuals from Ducati.
Bagnaia was photographed with unique gifts, which included two of his previous motorcycles.
The initial bike was a red and white 125cc Pre-GP Metrakit, which Bagnaia rode in 2010 at the age of 13.
Later on, he reconnected with his Moto3 Sky Racing Team VR46 KTM.
Bagnaia spent three years competing in Moto3 but never managed to win the championship.
"Never lose sight of your beginnings while achieving your objectives," Bagnaia shared on social media, accompanied by images of his past motorcycles.
"Thanks, everyone; you brought me joy."
The marriage of Bagnaia garnered significant attention in Italy, where he is a prominent figure in the sports world.
Bagnaia has now secured consecutive MotoGP championships, becoming the first Italian rider to claim victory in the top category since Rossi.
In 2022, he brought an end to Ducati's 15-year championship drought.
Bagnaia clinched the championship by surpassing Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Martin in the concluding rounds over the last two years.
At the top of the MotoGP leaderboard, he holds a 10-point advantage over Martin as they head into next weekend's race at Silverstone.
