Paolo Pavesio set to take over the role in 2025
Paolo Pavesio has been appointed to take over Lin Jarvis' role at Yamaha.
Starting January 1, 2025, Pavesio will take on the role of managing director at Yamaha Motor Racing.
Before, he held the position of Director of Marketing and Motorsport at Yamaha Motor Europe. During his tenure, he revamped the motorsport division, leading to their triumphs in world championships across World Superbikes, EWC, and MXGP.
Pavesio is set to take over the role from Jarvis, who will be stepping down after leading Yamaha for 26
Under Jarvis's leadership, Yamaha secured a total of eight rider championships, six constructor championships, and seven team championships. He managed the peak periods of the Japanese company with stars like Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, along with their latest championship win featuring Fabio Quartararo.
Even though Jarvis is stepping down from his role as managing director, he will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor at Yamaha.
Takahiro Sumi, the General Manager of the Motor Sports Development Division, expressed gratitude to Lin for his 26 years of commitment and accomplishments, both personally and on Yamaha's behalf.
His dedication, hard work, and leadership have played a crucial role in Yamaha's achievements in MotoGP, and I am pleased that we will continue to benefit from his expertise and experience in the future.
Paolo Pavesio will take over as Managing Director from Lin. Pavesio has extensive experience from his time at YME, where he served as Marketing and Motorsport Director and led Yamaha teams to World Championship victories in WorldSBK, EWC, and MXGP.
