MotoGP Set to Unveil New Logo in Valencia: A Fresh Identity for the Future
MotoGP to introduce fresh emblem in Valencia
Upcoming logo reveal planned
MotoGP has announced that a fresh logo for the championship will be unveiled at the end of the 2024 season in Valencia.
In recent times, the world championship for motorcycle grand prix has been experiencing a transformation of its brand image, marked by the introduction of a fresh theme song composed by Marco Beltrami for the 2023 season.
Discussions about introducing a new logo initially came to light in April, following a report from es.motorsport.com.
Following Liberty Media's purchase of an 86% stake in MotoGP, this development is expected to be finalized by year's end.
Nonetheless, the redesign of the logo had been in development before this point.
Dorna Sports has announced that its new logo will be unveiled following the 2024 season finale in Valencia, set for November 17, after the revamped awards ceremony.
In a collaboration with the renowned independent design studio Pentagram, Dorna announced through a press release, "Following our partnership with Pentagram, the leading independent design studio globally, we're thrilled to unveil a fresh brand identity for the most thrilling sport on the planet.
"Crafted to embody our deep-rooted legacy and the future aspirations of the sport, the MotoGP of the future has emerged from over a year of extensive research involving fans, riders, and pivotal figures in the sport, all focused on addressing the query: what defines MotoGP?"
The logo for MotoGP, which has been the standard since 2000, received minor adjustments in 2007. Despite these changes, its appearance has remained consistent throughout the contemporary period.
Since assuming the position in 2023, enhancing the brand identity of MotoGP has been a primary responsibility for Dan Rossomondo, the chief commercial officer.
