MotoGP Champion Pecco Bagnaia Shines in Juventus’s New Third Kit Launch
Pecco Bagnaia headlines Juventus' unveiling of their blue third kit
The current MotoGP Champion takes center stage as the emblem for the Bianconeri's latest blue alternate strip.
Following the conclusion of global competitions and the Olympic Games, the domestic soccer season is making its comeback. In line with this, MotoGP's current World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia, has teamed up with Juventus to unveil their latest third kit.
Bagnaia, repeatedly expressing his backing for the perennial Italian champions during his MotoGP journey, appeared in marketing materials released by Juventus to introduce their new third kit in blue and gold.
Juventus mentions that the kit, revealed during the fortnight separating the 10th and 11th rounds of Bagnaia’s defense of his MotoGP championship – specifically after the British Grand Prix, where he secured a third-place finish, and just before the Austrian Grand Prix happening this weekend, draws its inspiration from the image of the moon against a backdrop of stars.
This isn't Bagnaia's initial connection to football this year; earlier, his team, Ducati Lenovo, sported the Maglia Azzurro, the iconic blue kit synonymous with Italy's national teams, in anticipation of the upcoming Euro 2024 football championship and the Paris Olympics in 2024.
Fabio Di Giannantonio, Bagnaia's countryman and teammate at Ducati, recently made a connection with his most-loved soccer club. He was spotlighted at the start of the Roma versus Napoli Serie A game in December of the previous year. The 'wolf' emblem that adorns Di Giannantonio's racing helmet draws inspiration from the emblem of AS Roma, which depicts the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, being nurtured by the Capitoline Wolf.
In 2021, following his victory at the World Championship, Fabio Quartararo was showcased at the Parc de Princes ahead of a PSG match, while previously, Marc Marquez had the opportunity to ride a Honda RC213V within the RB Leipzig stadium before the German Grand Prix in 2019.
