In an authoritative performance at the MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix, Marc Marquez led from start to finish, while Pecco Bagnaia's race ended in a collision with Alex Marquez.
At the Aragon Grand Prix for MotoGP, Marc Marquez secured his first Grand Prix win in more than 1,000 days, achieving this in a commanding manner.
Dominating from start to finish, Marquez showcased remarkable speed and ultimately secured victory, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of Jorge Martin.
Martin increased his lead in the championship to 23 points by finishing second, following Francesco Bagnaia's exit from the race due to a collision with Alex Marquez, who also went down in the incident.
Bagnaia was swiftly moving up the ranks, overcoming an initial setback of spinning his rear tire from the less clean part of the starting line. He initially found himself in seventh place at the beginning, climbed to sixth following Miguel Oliveira's crash, advanced to fifth as Franco Morbidelli went off track, and then moved into fourth position after pressuring Pedro Acosta into an error at turn 16.
Several rounds were completed in the effort to overtake Marques, who veered off course at turn 12, providing Bagnaia with an opportunity to pass him entering turn 13. However, when Bagnaia maneuvered into turn 13, he collided with Marquez, resulting in both riders crashing.
Following the race, Bagnaia was taken to the medical center, however, there has been no further information released regarding his state.
The collision between the two competitors elevated Pedro Acosta to third position, though nearly 15 seconds adrift of the victor.
Brad Binder secured the fourth position, while Enea Bastianini climbed to fifth place from a 14th place start. Franco Morbidelli finished in sixth place, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marco Bezzecchi, Alex Rins, and Jack Miller, who completed the top 10.
Fabio Quartararo experienced a crash, while Maverick Vinales decided to retire from the race.
After the race, inquiries were initiated concerning Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jack Miller, and Raul Fernandez regarding the pressure of their front tires.
