The qualifying round for the Aragon MotoGP concluded with Marc Marquez securing the top spot as the quickest rider, and he subsequently clinched victory in the sprint race held on Saturday.
Marquez has secured his second pole position of the season, following his earlier achievement at the Spanish Grand Prix. He will be joined on the front row by Pedro Acosta and Francesco Bagnaia for the start of the race.
In the second qualifying round, Jorge Martin experienced a fall during his initial lap but managed to secure the fourth position on the grid following a commendable second attempt. Alongside Martin on the second row will be Alex Marquez and Franco Morbidelli, with Brad Binder leading the third row, accompanied by Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez.
In the fourth row of the grid, we find Johann Zarco accompanied by the Aprilia team's Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, who are respectively over two and three seconds away from the pole position time. Interestingly, Vinales recorded the slowest time in the entire qualifying session, trailing behind all participants in Q1. Despite this, he secured the 12th starting position by advancing to Q2 from Friday afternoon's practice session.
A prominent figure deeper in the grid, Enea Bastianini, the victor of the 2022 Aragon Grand Prix, will commence from the 14th position following a challenging Q1 session. During this time, he struggled to keep up with the KTMs, specifically Acosta and Binder, who moved on to Q2.
