Marc Marquez Begins to Embrace Ducati Experience Amidst Misano Drama and Ducatisti Fervor
Marc Marquez Experiences the Essence of Riding for Ducati
Marc Marquez: "I’ve begun to understand what it’s like to ride for Ducati."
MotoGP sensation Marc Marquez experienced World Ducati Week for the first time last weekend at Misano.
At the 'Race of Champions' event, Marquez secured third place, finishing behind Francesco Bagnaia and Andrea Iannone.
However, the eight-time world champion's race was not devoid of excitement, as a late collision with Nicolo Bulega resulted in the Superbike rider crashing at the last corner.
"It was a fantastic event, and we had a great time," Marquez commented. "It was wonderful to be present alongside all the Italian supporters and the Ducatisti enthusiasts."
"In the end, it turned out to be a great day. The most important thing was that we had a good time."
Next season, as Marquez joins the factory Ducati MotoGP team, he received an enthusiastic welcome from the Ducatisti supporters.
Marquez is set to team up with Bagnaia, promising a highly competitive and intense collaboration.
However, a large crowd of Ducati enthusiasts gathered to cheer on the Spanish racer.
After the race, Marquez expressed that he was beginning to understand what it’s like to ride for Ducati and the significance of representing the team. He added that they would give their all to uphold the team’s honor.
In a rather unexpected turn of events for this stage of the season, Marquez has not secured a victory on a Ducati so far.
However, the ex-Honda racer acknowledges that he will attempt to do whatever it takes to alter that in the latter half of the season.
Marquez stated, "Naturally, our aim is to secure a victory, although we made attempts during the initial half of the season without success. However, it's important to remain patient and simply take pleasure in the process."
