With six races remaining in the F1 season, Max Verstappen is ahead of Lando Norris by 54 points in the drivers' championship standings.
Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri appear ready to compete fiercely for the third position overall, with only an eight-point difference separating them.

Leclerc holds onto first place as they enter Turn 1, staying ahead of Verstappen. Meanwhile, Sainz, Norris, and Piastri round out the top five positions in Austin.
The Safety Car will exit the track at the conclusion of this lap. Verstappen is likely to try and overtake Leclerc again, as Leclerc had previously locked his brakes going into Turn 1 right before the race was paused.
