Leclerc Leads Ferrari 1-2 Triumph at US GP as Norris Penalized in Verstappen Showdown
Charles Leclerc clinched victory at the US Grand Prix, leading a Ferrari one-two finish, while Lando Norris received a penalty after a late-race confrontation with championship contender Max Verstappen.
Charles Leclerc secured a notable win for Ferrari, leading a team 1-2 finish at the United States Grand Prix, while Lando Norris received a penalty during a late-stage duel with his F1 championship competitor, Max Verstappen.
Leclerc made an impressive beginning, surging into the lead at the first corner. Starting in fourth position, he capitalized on an initial battle between championship contenders Verstappen and Norris to move up to first place.

Verstappen made a bold move by going inside of Norris, who started on pole, at the first turn to momentarily take the lead. However, both drivers went off the racing line at the apex, allowing Leclerc to take advantage and slip his Ferrari ahead.
Starting from that point, Leclerc smoothly secured his third victory of the season and the eighth of his career. Meanwhile, his teammate Carlos Sainz finished in second place, achieving a 1-2 finish for Ferrari after successfully overtaking Verstappen's Red Bull during the pit stops.
However, Leclerc's win was eclipsed by an exciting and controversial late duel between Verstappen and Norris.
Norris initially crossed the finish line in third place but received a five-second penalty for going off the track and gaining an advantage during his pass on Verstappen at Turn 12 on Lap 52.
This moved him down to the fourth position, trailing Verstappen, who had successfully fended off multiple attempts by Norris in an intense conclusion. As a result, the current world champion managed to widen his lead in the championship standings even further.
Oscar Piastri secured fifth place driving the second McLaren car, while George Russell overtook Sergio Perez's Red Bull on the last lap, earning sixth place and finishing a remarkable comeback from starting in the pit lane.
Following Perez, Nico Hulkenberg secured additional points for Haas by finishing in eighth place. Meanwhile, Liam Lawson managed to claim ninth position in his comeback race for RB, even though he began from the last spot on the grid.
Williams substitute Franco Colapinto maintained his impressive debut in Formula 1 by securing the last available point with a 10th place finish.
Lewis Hamilton experienced a disastrous weekend that culminated in disaster when, after only three laps, he veered off course into the gravel at Turn 19. This unfortunate incident came despite an impressive beginning that saw the seven-time world champion climb to 12th place.
