Jorge Martin Analyzes Marc Marquez’s Superior Speed at Aragon MotoGP: A Quest for Victory
Jorge Martin points out segments where Marc Marquez outpaces him significantly during the Aragon MotoGP
Marc Marquez's commanding victory in the MotoGP Aragon Sprint sees Jorge Martin finishing as the runner-up once more.
Jorge Martin secured the runner-up position in the MotoGP Aragon Sprint, marking his fifth consecutive second-place finish, while he observed Marc Marquez pulling away ahead.
Securing the runner-up position for the fifth consecutive time, Martin demonstrates his steady performance in the latest competitions, propelling him to the forefront of the World Championship standings. This achievement, as he mentioned, required a significant comeback effort.
"An incredible race," Martin remarked to the global television audience from the victory stand. "Rebuilding my confidence after the qualifying accident was challenging, yet ultimately, I managed to keep up with Marc [Marquez]."
In the end, Marquez's speed was unmatched by Martin's.
He mentioned, "I stayed by his side, believing that ultimately, I could make a difference."
"Ultimately, it turned out to be unattainable, yet congratulations to him. However, I remain optimistic about my ability to progress and compete against him."
Despite suffering a heavy defeat to Marquez in the Sprint, Martin believes he has a chance to contend with the Gresini Ducati competitor in the Grand Prix.
"He believes that with the medium [rear tyre], they have a chance to close in on Marc, yet acknowledges Marc is performing exceptionally well," he stated.
How did Marquez manage to secure his upper hand?
"Martin mentioned that in sectors four and two, he appears to be slightly more powerful. Although the gap isn't huge, there are a couple of turns where he significantly outpaces me. Therefore, I plan to examine it more closely, give it my all tomorrow, and aim to secure another podium finish."
