Jack Miller Reflects on the Emotional Toll as MotoGP Career Hangs in the Balance
Jack Miller shares the emotional toll of his fading MotoGP career
Jack Miller opens up about his struggles to salvage his MotoGP career
Jack Miller has shared his emotional struggles as his MotoGP career appears to be drawing to an end.
KTM decided to bring in Pedro Acosta to take over Miller's spot in their official team for the 2025 season, subsequently opting not to present him with an opportunity to join their Tech3 squad either.
Available options for him to secure a ride next year seem to be confined largely to Pramac Yamaha or Trackhouse, yet he isn't the top pick to secure a spot on either team.
Miller shared that his family has adjusted their schedules to attend his races more often, once it was evident that his time in MotoGP was limited.
"I'm feeling positive within," he shared with TNT Sports at Silverstone.
"Clearly, claiming that the past three weeks spent at home, searching for opportunities for the coming year, were simple would not be truthful."
"I find myself in a sort of limbo, you might say. My position is unclear to me."
"The spouse and infant weren't initially planned to attend the final series of races. However, it now seems they might be present for what could be my concluding events…"
"I wouldn't like to get overly emotional, yet it's been challenging. It represents something I've dedicated myself to and made sacrifices for."
"Facing situations that don't align with our preferences is always challenging. We continue to make efforts."
"I'm satisfied with my accomplishments. It's necessary for me to feel this way…"
Miller commends the emerging talents in Moto2
Acosta's exceptional performance as a newcomer this season initially undermined Miller's aspirations.
Acosta's performance left KTM with no choice but to elevate him to their official team.
In 2023, Fermin Aldeguer is set to debut as a newcomer with Ducati, while other notable Moto2 riders are also rumored to be associated.
Ai Ogura, Joe Roberts, Tony Arbolino, and Alonso Lopez are currently being considered for several open positions in MotoGP.
"Every year, the game evolves," stated Miller.
"Throughout my brief period in MotoGP, I've experienced a wide variety of racing categories."
"I've had a successful stint, should it indeed conclude."
"The influx of skill we're witnessing is remarkable. The abilities these young individuals exhibit on bicycles are extraordinary."
"It's not fair to hold a grudge against advancement. However, I believe it's possible for me to learn something new, despite being set in my ways!"
"Whether we'll have the opportunity remains to be seen…"
Miller is currently in his tenth year competing in MotoGP, having raced for Honda and Ducati before joining KTM in the top tier.
