**”Jack Miller Dismisses KTM Criticism, Cites ‘Illusion’ of Underperformance Amidst Tough 2024 MotoGP Season”**
Jack Miller believes that the notion of KTM falling behind is merely a misconception. He stated, "It's not true, as KTM's most recent win occurred under wet conditions with Miguel Oliveira."
Jack Miller has faced a challenging 2024 MotoGP season, managing just a single top-five result throughout the year.
Overall, KTM has faced more difficulties compared to Aprilia and especially Ducati, who have set new standards this year.
Due to a difficult period in his performance, Miller has been dropped from his position at KTM. However, the Australian rider feels that he has faced certain restrictions.
In an interview with Motosan.es, Miller was questioned about whether the RC16 represented his peak performance. He responded, "Yes, I believe that is the limit for everyone. It varies based on how the bike is tuned and constructed. As you've observed a few times this year, I've had crashes while trying to keep up with the group."
"It's not due to a lack of speed on my part; rather, it's because I feel uneasy and constantly challenge myself to go further."
"It has indeed been costly for us at times, but it is also the reason I am in my current role."
KTM has not secured a grand prix win since 2022. While Brad Binder has achieved some sprint race victories for the team, the Austrian manufacturer has yet to realize its ambitions of competing for the championship title.
However, Miller asserts that KTM is competitive, dismissing the notion that they have fallen behind in the MotoGP race.
"KTM's most recent win happened in wet conditions with Miguel, so it's misleading," Miller remarked.
"Actually, I believe KTM's most recent two victories took place in rainy conditions. Therefore, I disagree."
"In reviewing Brad's performance last season, it's clear he achieved more podium finishes in dry conditions and reached a level of competitiveness that surpasses any other point in his Grand Prix career."
