Bagnaia and Marquez were seen making angry gestures towards each other in the gravel following the incident, but it appeared, initially, that they hadn't sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course while he was protecting his third-place spot with six laps left in the race
Bagnaia, starting from the fourth spot, attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and made a motion towards Marquez to indicate he was fine.
He departed, his arm's leathers ripped and marked, yet perhaps lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was taken to the medical facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after the incident occurred, both Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing gear, and appeared to be without injuries.
Stewards are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Current MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia began Sunday three points behind the championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, with a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
