Following the incident, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen making angry gestures towards each other while in the gravel, though it appeared, initially, that they hadn't sustained any serious injuries.
Marquez drifted off course while trying to hold onto third place, with six laps left in the race.
Bagnaia, starting from the fourth spot, attempted to pass him.
The rear end of Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be firmly attached to Marquez's front.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He moved off, his leathers ripped and worn on his arm, luckily, the harm could have been more severe.
Bagnaia underwent a medical evaluation at the health facility.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be uninjured.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia started Sunday three points behind the current championship leader, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, where he now enjoys a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
