Haas Targets Sixth Place with Major Upgrades and Special Livery at US Grand Prix

Haas introduces significant enhancements and a unique livery for the US Grand Prix as they chase a sixth-place finish. The team is optimistic that the upgrade will enable them to surpass their midfield competitor, RB, in the F1 constructors' standings.

Haas is set to introduce a major enhancement for the concluding rounds of the 2024 F1 season as they aim to secure the sixth spot in the constructors' championship.

The team is set to introduce a significant upgrade to the VF-24 at the United States Grand Prix this weekend, which includes modifications to the floor and bodywork. This update is regarded as the team's primary enhancement for the remainder of the season.

Haas plans to showcase a unique livery for their home event at the Circuit of the Americas, featuring the branding of their new technical partner, Toyata.

Andrea De Zordo, the technical director for Haas, stated that in Austin they will be introducing their major update for the concluding segment of the season, which will focus primarily on further developing the floor and bodywork.

"The goal remains to enhance aerodynamic load to increase the car's speed. Achieving a significant reduction in lap time is challenging, so we're focusing on minor improvements. However, in the highly competitive midfield, every small advancement counts, and we aim to succeed in this endeavor."

"This represents an advancement and continued refinement of our current setup, not an entirely new creation, even though the vehicle will have a slightly altered appearance."

Haas is presently in seventh place in the constructors' championship rankings, trailing RB by only three points. There are still six grand prix events and three sprint races left in the season.

A series of three straight races where they finished in the points has enabled the American team to narrow the distance between themselves and Red Bull's junior team as they approach the closing stages of the season.

De Zordo remarked that although they didn't earn any points last year, the race was satisfactory for them, and he believes this year's race should also be favorable.

"We are competing for sixth place, which is a wonderful sensation. It's crucial for us to give our all to reach this goal, as it would be incredible for the entire team that has dedicated so much effort to making this season successful."
