Haas and Ferrari Fortify Alliance: Technical Partnership Extended Until 2028
Haas continues collaboration with Ferrari through the 2028 Formula 1 season
The alliance between Haas and Ferrari will now last until the conclusion of the 2028 season.
Haas has confirmed the continuation of their technical partnership in Formula 1 through to the conclusion of 2028.
Since their entry into the sport in 2016, Haas has maintained a robust partnership with Ferrari.
Haas not only utilizes Ferrari's power units, but they also take advantage of the facilities and technical assistance provided at Ferrari's Maranello headquarters.
Currently, Haas is the sole team purchasing engines from Ferrari for the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 season.
Sauber currently operates with Ferrari engines but will transition to Audi.
Commenting on the announcement, team leader Ayao Komatsu expressed his excitement about continuing their partnership with Scuderia Ferrari through to 2028.
"As a team, we have exclusively competed using Ferrari engines, and maintaining this consistency into the forthcoming engine regulation changes is crucial for our ongoing progress."
"Our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari holds a unique place for us – from the very beginning, they played a crucial role in launching our program and have remained an essential technical ally over the last nine years.
"I'm thrilled that we're looking forward to additional seasons, and I owe my gratitude to Fred Vasseur and the team at Scuderia Ferrari for their ongoing support of our initiative. This news further illustrates the enduring commitment of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team towards investing and expanding within the sport."
Haas has experienced a fantastic start to the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Currently, they hold the seventh position in the constructors' standings, trailing RB by a narrow margin of four points.
The latest improvements made for the British Grand Prix seem to have given them an edge, as Nico Hulkenberg managed to outperform both Ferrari drivers in the qualifying rounds.
Following a last-place finish in the standings the previous season, the team has experienced a remarkable reversal of fortunes since Komatsu took over from Guenther Steiner at the beginning of this year.
In 2025, Oliver Bearman, who is part of Ferrari's junior program, will race for the team, although it's yet to be determined who will join him as his teammate.
According to a BBC report, Esteban Ocon is close to finalizing a deal, which leaves Kevin Magnussen out of a seat.
