Today’s Singapore Grand Prix is anticipated to be the last Formula 1 race for Daniel Ricciardo.
According to reports, the seasoned Formula 1 driver from RB is set to be swapped out for Liam Lawson in the upcoming race in the United States.
A 13-year career with eight grand prix victories is about to conclude within hours.
Sky Sports' Simon Lazenby suggested that the person's behavior indicates an awareness of an impending event.
Sports commentator David Croft responded, "I believe he does. I think private discussions have taken place. We'll have more information by the middle of next week."
"It's unfortunate. Although he remains among their potential drivers for next year, it's disappointing that he might not get a chance to finish on a positive note in Abu Dhabi if this is indeed his final race."
"He has contributed significantly to the sport with numerous outstanding performances."
"I recall seeing a replay of his initial victory in Canada. He was beaming, and it brought a tear to my eye."
"He has provided us with unforgettable experiences and is an excellent driver."
"In the end, he really shouldn't have departed from Red Bull initially."
Ricciardo's choice to leave Red Bull and join Renault did not yield the desired results. He later switched to McLaren, but they released him at the conclusion of the 2022 season.
Ricciardo returned to racing in mid-2023, but he is expected to race his final laps in a Formula 1 car a year later.
Jamie Chadwick commented that he acknowledged his previous standards for doing a good job might no longer be sufficient.
"The expectations from Red Bull for his performance have increased significantly, and he is currently not meeting those higher standards."
Martin Brundle from Sky Sports disclosed that he received information from sources in the paddock indicating that Red Bull plans to switch their sister team’s drivers ahead of the upcoming F1 race in Austin.
Ricciardo confessed that he was unsure about his future upon reaching Singapore.
When questioned about being left out, he responded, "I would generally say no, but we all understand the nature of the sport. Therefore, I can't say 'I'm completely certain and would stake everything on it.' I've been in the game for a long time."
“What’s wild about this sport is that if I manage to secure a podium finish this weekend, I’ll likely become the most talked-about figure in the sport.”
