It was subsequently revealed that this action was a reaction to the same mechanic being discovered using a tablet to record a GP23 from the VR46 team.
It is not certain if this took place in Austria or during an earlier stage.
According to GPOne.com, the incident occurred during the German Grand Prix in July, when Tardozzi reportedly called Aprilia's technical director, Romano Albesiano, to address the issue.
Although the MotoGP rulebook doesn't regulate this kind of conduct, manufacturers strongly disapprove of it.
In the present day, photographers are only permitted in team pit boxes if they are officially appointed as the team's photographer.
Over the years, several journalists have incurred the anger of teams for photographing bikes in the pit lane.
There's a clear reason why competing manufacturers are interested in examining Ducati's equipment more closely.
During the Austrian Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia secured his seventh victory of the season riding the GP24, as the brand occupied the top four positions.
The team achieved its 17th podium sweep, matching the record previously set by Honda, and it was their eighth consecutive time doing so.
Ducati is ahead of Aprilia by 181 points in the constructors' standings, while KTM trails by 195 points.
