The reason behind Tardozzi's confrontation with an Aprilia technician has been revealed! https://t.co/wkjnC8gObF— The Racing Armchair (@RacingArmchair) August 22, 2024
Subsequently, it was revealed that this incident occurred after the mechanic was discovered recording a GP23 bike from the VR46 team using a tablet.
It remains uncertain if this incident occurred in Austria or during an earlier stage.
According to a GPOne.com article, the incident occurred during the German Grand Prix in July, where it's reported that Tardozzi called upon Aprilia's technical director Romano Albesiano for a meeting to address the issue.
Although the MotoGP regulations do not specifically address this kind of conduct, it is highly disapproved of by the manufacturers.
Currently, photographers are barred from entering team pit areas unless they are officially assigned as a photographer for a particular team.
Over time, several reporters have encountered backlash from racing teams for photographing motorcycles in the pit lane.
There's little mystery behind other manufacturers' desire to delve into the inner workings of Ducati's equipment.
At the Austrian Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia clinched his seventh victory of the season aboard the GP24, as the manufacturer secured the first four positions.
This achievement represented their 17th time securing all top positions, matching Honda's historical record, and it was the eighth consecutive instance.
Ducati is at the forefront of the constructors' rankings, holding a 181-point advantage over Aprilia, while KTM trails by 195 points.
