Bagnaia and Marquez were visibly upset with each other in the gravel, but initially, it seemed they had not sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off track while trying to hold onto third place, with just six laps to go.
Bagnaia, starting from the fourth spot, attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely trailing right behind Marquez's.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez to indicate that he was fine.
He departed with his leathers ripped and marred on his arm, yet possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the medical facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were observed strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia started Sunday three points behind the current championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, with a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
