Following the incident, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen exchanging heated gestures in the gravel, though it appeared, at initial observation, they had not sustained significant injuries.
Marquez veered off track, holding onto third place with six laps left to go.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to the front of Marquez's.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati for a few moments as they slid together.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He departed with his arm's leathers ripped and scratched, yet maybe lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the healthcare facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock, no longer in their racing suits, and appeared to be unharmed.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia went into Sunday's race three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Securing the second position in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP, Martin has now taken a 23-point lead in the championship standings.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
