Bagnaia and Marquez were seen making angry gestures towards each other in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it appeared they hadn't sustained any serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course while trying to hold onto third place, with six laps left in the race
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted a pass.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely attached to Marquez's front.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati while they were skidding.
However, he got up and motioned towards Marquez to indicate that he was fine.
He left with his leathers scraped and worn on his arm, possibly lucky that the injury wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia visited the medical facility for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez could be seen strolling through the paddock, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are looking into the matter.
Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia commenced Sunday three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him into the championship lead, with a 23-point advantage.
Marc Marquez emerged as the victor in the race.
