Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it seemed they hadn't sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course while trying to keep his third-place spot, with only six laps left.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted a pass.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely tailing the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He left with his leather garments ripped and worn on his arm, possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was examined at the medical center.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling in the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appeared to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia began Sunday three points behind the current championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, where he now holds a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged as the victor of the race.
