Bagnaia and Marquez were seen making angry gestures towards each other in the gravel following the incident, yet it appeared they had not sustained serious injuries at first look.
Marquez veered off track, while protecting his third-place spot, with six laps left to go.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely attached to the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati while they were skidding.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He moved off, his leathers ripped and worn on his arm, yet possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was taken to the health facility for an examination.
Half an hour after the incident occurred, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, no longer wearing their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia began Sunday three points behind the current championship frontrunner Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him into the championship lead, now ahead by 23 points.
Marc Marquez emerged as the victor of the race.
