Bagnaia and Marquez were seen angrily signaling to each other in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it appeared they hadn't sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course, holding onto third place with six laps left.
Bagnaia, starting from the fourth spot, attempted to pass him.
It appeared as though the rear end of Bagnaia's Ducati was closely attached to the front section of Marquez's motorcycle.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and made a gesture towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He departed, his leather garments ripped and worn on his arm, but possibly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia was taken to the medical center for an examination.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, both Bagnaia and Marquez were observed moving about the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing unscathed.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia commenced Sunday just three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at Sunday's Aragon MotoGP has propelled him into the championship lead, now ahead by 23 points.
Marc Marquez clinched victory in the race.
