Following the incident, Bagnaia and Marquez exchanged heated gestures in the gravel, though initially, it seemed they had not sustained serious injuries.
Marquez veered off track, while protecting his third-place spot, with six laps left in the race
Starting from the fourth slot, Bagnaia made an attempt to pass him by.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to Marquez's lead.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was all right.
He departed, his leather garments ripped and abraded on his arm, yet perhaps lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia underwent a medical evaluation at the health facility.
Within half an hour following their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appearing to be without injury.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Heading into Sunday, MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia was three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him to the top of the championship standings, giving him a 23-point lead.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
